Upon his arrival to New York City next week, Queensboro FC founding partner and international soccer legend David Villa will give a signed pair of cleats to a lucky fan.

That fan will be selected via an online sweepstakes, which will remain open until Feb. 3. Villa will personally deliver the cleats to the contest winner at a Feb. 5 QBFC fan event.

QBFC announced on Nov. 12 that it will make its United Soccer League debut in 2021. The team’s ownership group is led by Villa and New York City asset management firm KraneShares CEO Jonathan Krane.

Villa played on Spain’s national team from 2005 through 2017 and is the team’s all-time high scorer. He won a Champions League title with F.C. Barcelona in 2011, contributed to the Spanish team that won Eurocopa 2008 and helped lead Spain to victory at the 2010 World Cup.

“With only a few weeks left to go, we hope all soccer fans in Queens will enter for the chance to win this pair of boots signed by World Cup winner David Villa,” said Queensboro FC Principal Owner Jonathan Krane. “We are excited to continue growing our fan base here in Queens and to bring the world's game to the world's borough.”
