The Queens County Democratic Party will hold their judicial convention to designate candidates for Supreme Court judgeships this evening at Antun’s catering hall.

The nominees include six active criminal and civil court judges, as well three current Supreme Court justices seeking a new term, according to three people familiar with the list of nominees.

They are Civil Court Supervising Judge Tracy Catapano Fox, Criminal Court Supervising Judge Michelle A. Johnson, Civil Court Judge Mojgan Lancman, Criminal Court Judge Karina Alomar, Civil Court Judge Leonard Livote and Civil Court Judge Lance Evans.

Queens Supreme Court Justices Darrel Gavrin, Evelyn Braun and Kevin Kerrigan are seeking new 14-year terms.

County party judicial conventions convene the Democratic Party’s 180 judicial delegates — 10 from each Assembly District in Queens — or their proxies.
