In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Queens College has created an emergency relief fund to try and assist its most vulnerable students.

Many students have lost internship opportunities and jobs in the wake of the pandemic, which has triggered a financial crisis.

This is in addition to the upheaval students have experienced in the classroom: almost 3,500 Queens College courses were moved online this spring to accommodate social distancing measures, and this year’s summer session is also being moved online.

"The need for funding has never been as great as it is today as Queens College and our students navigate these difficult times,” said Queens College Foundation Board of Trustees Chairman Lee Fensterstock. “The Queens College Emergency Relief Fund will play a crucial role in ensuring that the difficulties that this pandemic has created for our students will be overcome."
