A Jackson Heights man is dead after he was shot in the chest by another man on Monday morning, the NYPD told the Eagle.

Cops from the 115th Precinct responded a house on 88th Street near 37th Avenue after receiving a 911 call just before noon reporting that someone had been shot.

The victim was taken to Elmhurst Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Officers arrested one man that they believe is responsible for the shooting but have not yet released his identity to the media as of press time. An investigation into the motive behind the shooting is currently underway.

On Citizen, a crime alert mobile app, commenters stated that the victim was seen running out of the house covered in blood, screaming that he had been shot.
