A Queens judge set $7,500 bail for a 21-year-old Bayside man who is accused of using Instagram’s private messages to solicit sex from a 12-year-old girl, prosecutors said.

Juan Cabrera was arrested on Thursday for contacting a preteen on Instagram on Sept. 28 to offer her $200 to watch him pleasure himself and $1,000 to have sex with him, prosecutors said.

“The internet and the many apps offered on cell phones can be entertaining and educational, however, they can also be portals for those on the hunt for young victims,” said Queens County District Attorney Richard A. Brown. “The defendant in this case is accused of soliciting a teenage girl for his sexual gratification. This kind of behavior will not be tolerated in Queens County.”

Cabrera, whose username is “DAILYANTIX,” allegedly told the youngster that he would put the funds in her 13-year-old friend’s family mailbox and also asked the victim to invite the friend to watch him masturbate.

The girl asked Cabrera how he knew her friend and he allegedly admitted that he knew where the other girl lived and that he had seen her in his neighborhood with her mother.

Authorities were contacted and Cabrera’s account was linked to his cell phone. He allegedly admitted that it was his Instagram account.

If convicted on the top charge of first-degree disseminating indecent material to minors, Cabrera faces up to seven years in prison.

The investigation is ongoing and the police are asking anyone who has communicated with the username “DAILYANTIX” to call Detective Adaszewski at (646) 872-7609.
