A Queens judge sentenced an East Flatbush man to 18 years in prison for killing a friend and dumping the body in a Jamaica warehouse.

Richard Bodley admitted to Queens Supreme Court Justice Michael B. Aloise that Angel Guerrido was an acquaintance who he would drive around in his Buick from time to time. In May 2017, Bodley shot and killed 45-year-old Guerrido inside the car and discarded the body behind a warehouse on Guy R. Brewer Boulevard, prosecutors said.

“This was yet another senseless act of gun violence,” said Queens County District Attorney Richard A. Brown.

Bodley, 31, pleaded guilty to manslaughter and was sentenced to 18 years in prison on Thursday. Upon release he will serve five years of post-release supervision.
