Two men in their 20s were murdered in two separate incidents on Saturday and Sunday, police said.

Around 10:50 p.m. on Saturday, police were called to a home on Guy R. Brewer Boulevard in Jamaica after multiple shots were fired.

A baby shower was happening inside the residence at the time of the shooting, The New York Post reported.

Tymel West, 22, was shot several times to his chest and taken to Jamaica Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.

A few hours later on Sunday morning, police responded to a report of a person shot on 45th Avenue in Flushing.

Victor Alvarenga, 26 of Flushing, was found with multiple gunshot wounds to his body. An ambulance took Alvarenga to New York Presbyterian Hospital-Queens where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Both homicides are still under investigation and no arrests were made.
