Sunnyside’s Kiwanis Club celebrated Flag Day Saturday with an annual march along Greenpoint Avenue, which concluded at Veterans Memorial Square.

Hank Baker, the Governor of the Kiwanis New York State District, served as parade grand marshal and led the procession to the ceremony at Memorial Square in Sabba Park.

Several local elected officials, including Assemblymembers Cathy Nolan and Brian Barnwell and State Sen. Michael Gianaris, attended the event, along with scores of schoolchildren and patriotic Queens residents.
