The Queens Night Market is joining the efforts to help the borough recover from Ida flooding as it opens for the fall season.

Saturday marks the start of the next season for the Flushing Meadows Corona Park event, and 100 percent of the proceeds from the opening will go towards flood survivors who are ineligible for FEMA relief.

“While it sucks to fall through the cracks in general, to slip through when your livelihood is on the line because of a natural disaster is a travesty,” said QNM founder John Wang. “To us, this isn’t a political football. It’s a humanitarian question, and we want to help our friends and neighbors in Queens insofar as we can.”

More than two dozen vendors have committed to donating a fixed amount or a portion of their proceeds to flood relief, and attendees will be encouraged to make donations when they enter the event.

Los Almendros, Anda Cafe, Arepalicious, August Tree, Bengali Street Eats, Bstro, CBao, The Dough Club, DVrousa, Hong Kong Street Food, Janie's Life Changing Baked Goods, Jibarito Shack, Joey Bats, Lion City Coffee, Nose Best, Odin's Mighty Musubi, Ombrato, Queens Thread, The Real Cubano, Sabrina’s Henna, Sam’s Fried Ice Cream, Sholay, Sweet Sincerely

Tada Noodles, Theobucket, Tragos, Treat Yourself Jerk Chicken, Treestar NYC, Twisted Potato and Warung Jancook have already made philanthropic commitments.

The night market is free to attend and most vendor items still have a $5 price cap.
