Queens Borough President Donovan Richards will host a virtual Kwanzaa celebration Tuesday at 6 p.m.

The event is co-hosted by Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz and the African American Heritage Committee to mark the annual celebration of African-American culture held from December 26 to January 1.

“Now more than ever, we need to hold on to the traditions of our heritage and enjoy time spent with loved ones as we prepare to say farewell to this tumultuous year,” Katz said. “May the light of Kwanzaa bring moments of joy, peace and happiness to your homes today and throughout the coming year!”

A livestream will be available on the Borough President’s website starting at 6 p.m.
