Queens leaders condemn profane anti-Semitic vandalism in Forest Hills
/By David Brand
A profane and anti-Semitic message scrawled across a fence in Forest Hills has spurred condemnation from across Queens, and an investigation by the NYPD.
At least one vandal spray-painted the explicit graffiti, which describe a sex act with “Jewish bitches,” on a fence near the Grand Central Service Road and 68th Drive shortly after 10:15 a.m Wednesday morning. A resident passing the scene shared a photo of the vandalism on social media, alerting Assemblymember Daniel Rosenthal.
There is no room for hate our neighborhood. There is no tolerance for desecration of property. We must stand up against repugnant actions such as this that occured in Forest Hills. @NYPD112Pct @NYPDHateCrimes pic.twitter.com/aaNK1q9u3N

Rosenthal contacted the NYPD’s 112th Precinct about the anti-Semitic graffiti. Police told the Eagle they are investigating the incident, which is classified as “criminal mischief.”
“This shameful and repugnant act has no place in our community,” Rosenthal said. “It will not be tolerated and must be stamped out.”
Borough President Donovan Richards urged the NYPD to consider the vandalism a hate crime.
“This intolerable act of vandalism will not go unpunished,” he said.
