The Queens District Attorney's office will host a breast cancer awareness webinar to promote education and intervention on Monday at 1 p.m.
The program will focus on symptoms, treatment and early detection with regularly scheduled mammograms.
Queens DA Melinda Katz will be joined by Dr. Darlene Williams, chief program officer at the family shelter provider Win — formerly Women in Need — and Dr. James Satterfield M.D., medical director of the Center for Wound Healing at New York-Presbyterian Queens.
Breast cancer is the second most common cancer in women in the United States. New York has the 12th highest rate of new cases in the country, according to the CDC.
