Queens attorney honored as 2020 ‘Man of the Year’

Attorney Nestor Diaz, past president of the Latino Lawyers Association of Queens County, received a prestigious award from the organization 100 Hispanic Men during an annual event at Citi Field last month.

Diaz was honored as the organization’s 2020 “Man of the Year” on Jan. 24 during the Panda Lantern Festival. Other event honorees included Assemblymember Michael DenDekker, who earned the “Patron of Hispanics” award; NYPD Transit Chief Edward Delatorre and Chief Federal Judge Dora Irizarry. 

The Latino Lawyers Association of Queens County, Corona’s Club Cultural de la Cueva, the New York State Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 148, the Queens Hispanic Women’s Chamber of Commerce and Hispanic Clergy all attended the event.
