The Girl Scouts of Greater New York announced on Friday that all Girl Scout cookies that are purchased for donation this year will be given to NYC Health + Hospitals, as health professionals work save the lives of New Yorkers with COVID-19.

The 40,000 boxes that have been donated so far this year will be distributed throughout the public hospital system by Health + Hospitals partners who are providing food services.

“Girl Scouting is all about serving your community, and the best way we can help now, is by bringing joy to those who need it most — our healthcare workers and their families,” said CEO of Girl Scouts of Greater New York Meridith Maskara.

“We know New Yorkers and people all around the world will want to purchase Girl Scout Cookies for donation and do their part to send a smile and a treat to New York City’s healthcare workers who are working so hard for all of us,” Maskara added.

The Girl Scouts have a goal of donating 100,000 boxes of cookies this year to Health + Hospitals. To donate cookies, visit digitalcookie.girlscouts.org/scout/gsgny734181.
