A new comedy centered on family, secrets and sisterhood will premiere at the Queens Theatre this February.

“Chicken and Biscuits” follows sisters Baneatta and Beverly as they try to plan the funeral of their father, Bernard. After it’s revealed, however, that they have a secret third sister, they have to work to come together and learn the truth about their family.

The show will feature actress Jennifer Fouché, who was formerly in the National Tour of “Chicago,” in the role of Baneatta. Beverly will be played by Ebony Marshall-Oliver, who was part of last spring’s “Ain't No Mo'” at The Public Theatre.

“Chicken and Biscuits” was originally written in residence at The Directors Company by composer-playwright Douglas Lyons, though its development includes The Front Porch Readings Series, Queens Theatre's 2019 New American Voices Series, and Frank Silvera's Workshop at The Billie Holiday Theatre.

The show opens on Feb. 28, and will run through March 22. To purchase tickets, visit queenstheatre.org
