Here are the 45 Queens eateries participating in NYC Restaurant Week

New York City’s Restaurant Week is back, with 45 Queens eateries serving up special take home meals for local foodies, each priced at $20.21.

But the popular initiative looks a little different this year due to pandemic dining restrictions. Each site is offering to-go options through Jan. 31. Some restaurants will offer the deals for outdoor dining, too

Restaurant Week also takes on new meaning this year, as restaurants across Queens contend with declining revenues and exorbitant rents, said Mayor Bill de Blasio. On Monday, de Blasio urged New Yorkers to order from their local restaurants to help boost businesses boroughwide.

“Remember, hundreds of thousands of folks work in restaurants that are part of the heart and soul of this city. And we want everyone to do what you can to help our local restaurants,” he said. 

Restaurant Week, he added “is a great opportunity to have a great experience yourself, but also to help our restaurants.”

Several third-party delivery services like Seamless and Grubhub are reducing commissions and waiving delivery fees for the Restaurant Week meals.

At least one mayoral candidate has already visited a Restaurant Week restaurant in Queens.

Maya Wiley, de Blasio’s former counsel, met with Queens Borough President Donovan Richards at Queens Bully in Forest Hills on Monday.

“I’m eating my way through the borough,” Wiley said. “The wings were great.”
