A Fresh meadows man has been charged for the alleged sale and possession of illegal guns, Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz announced Thursday .

Chaz McMillan, 20, is facing more than 100 counts after 25 “ghost” guns — made of plastic and tough to track — large capacity magazines and other ammunition were found after executing a search warrant on his home.

“This is the fifth seizure of ghost guns in Queens since August – and we will not stop,” Katz said. “We are continuing a relentless pursuit of those who think they can get away with bringing gun parts into our borough, assembling them and selling them here.”

The search was conducted following an ongoing investigation prompted by the alleged online purchase of guns.

Officers seized 19 semi-automatic pistols, five assault weapons, one semi-automatic shotgun and components to make additional firearms, according to the DA. There were also nearly 700 rounds of ammunition and 31 large capacity magazines.

Police Commissioner Dermot Shea said that the prevalence of the polymer guns is not “a passing fad.”

“These illegal weapons endanger our citizens, our police and our kids,” he said. “Snapping together semi-automatic pistols and assault weapons from kits that are ordered from out of state is not some kind of hobby.”

“We are seeing hundreds of ghost guns, ordered online and shipped directly to New York City,” he added. “This is emerging, quickly, as a replacement supply chain for gun smugglers who traditionally relied on the ‘iron pipeline.’”

McMillan faces a 125-count indictment on charges including criminal possession of a weapon, criminal sale of a firearm, manufacture of weapons and dangerous instruments and unlawful possession of pistol or revolver ammunition. If convicted, he faces up to 25 years in prison.
