State environmental officials seized a pair of elephant foot stools from a Forest Hills couple who tried to sell the illegal furniture online.

Investigators from the Department of Environmental Conservation saw the foot stools listed online for $1,800 and arranged a purchase. Pachyderm parts are prohibited for sale in the state and the couple was charged with a Class E Felony, according to the DEC

They were fined $500, but the penalty was withdrawn when the couple handed over the illegal antiques, the New York Post reported.

The DEC said the feet will be used for “educational purposes.”
