Nearly 35 years after that little roller up along first got through Buckner and Jesse Orosco whipped his glove into the sky, Mets fans still find themselves drawn to that hard-charging, hard-living ‘86 championship team.

They’re in for a treat.

ESPN will air a four-part documentary series about the World Series-winning season later this year, the company said.

The film, “Once Upon a Time in Queens,” will feature never-before-seen footage of Doc, Darryl, Dysktra, Keith, Carter and the rest of the club on their way to the Mets’ second and so far last championship. The documentary is produced by Jimmy Kimmel and his sidekick Sal “Cousin Sal” Iacono, as well as Kimmel’s production company executive Scott Lonker and Major League Baseball executive Nick Trotta. Nick Davis is director.

The film features Bobby Ojeda, Darryl Strawberry, manager Davey Johnson, Dwight Gooden, Keith Hernande, Kevin Mitchell, Lenny Dykstra, Mookie Wilson, Roger McDowell, Sid Fernandez and Wally Backman, Variety reported.

Let’s go Mets.
