The candidates for Queens borough president are crisscrossing the borough to participate in a series of debates, as the campaign season heats up ahead of the March 24 special election.

Eight candidates — Councilmember Costa Constantinides, former Councilmember Elizabeth Crowley, police reform advocate Anthony Miranda, mapmaker Danniel Maio, former Queens prosecutor James Quinn, Councilmember Donovan Richards, Councilmember Jimmy Van Bramer and businessperson Dao Yin — have all been invited to participate in a Jan. 21 debate hosted by Asian Americans for Equality. The event will take place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Glow Community Center at One Flushing and will be moderated by journalist Ti-Hua Chang.

Four days later, the candidates will head to the Robert Ross Johnson Family Life Center in Jamaica for a Jan. 25 debate moderated by NY1 anchor Cheryl Wills. The 10 a.m. event is hosted by the Southeast Queens Leadership Coalition.
