An annual Bayside art show will go on, with help from a local development firm.

The Bayside Historical Society planned to hold its 20th Annual Winter Art Show virtually until Cord Meyer Development Company offered the organization the use of its storefronts at the Bay Terrace Shopping Center.

Work by Queens-based artists will remain on display in four shopping centers storefronts through March 10, a “creative solution which keeps alive the joy,” said Bayside Historical Society President Paul DiBenedetto.

In previous years, the art show took place at the Castle at Fort Totten, but social distancing and COVID capacity rules nixed that plan.

The exhibition at the Bay Terrace Shopping Center will also feature the history of the Castle at Fort Totten and Bay Terrace through the decades. Artwork will be available for purchase.
The show, which includes submissions form students at Bayside High School, is also available on the Bayside Historical Society’s website.
