The NYCGo website only profiled nine Queens neighborhoods, so we're bringing you our readers' responses for what to do in the few dozen other places that make our borough the best in the world.
In our fifth installment in our experts' guide to Queens communities, Woodhaven native Yasmeen Persaud shares her favorite spots. Persaud is a student at Baruch College and a communications intern at the Woodhaven Business Improvement District.
What are the best places to go, people to see and things to do in your neighborhood?
Mehak Beauty Salon offers glamor and glitz for Woodhaven residents at an affordable price. The hair, makeup and beauty salon is sure to always incorporate weekly specials such as $5 dollar henna and $30 golden facials.
Forget Red Mango, Go Natural is in town for the best organic smoothies and frozen yogurt. The family-owned restaurant offers a wide selection of organic drinks and a multitude of toppings as the cherry on top to customers’ frozen yogurt order.
Take a bite before you swipe — enjoy Woodhaven’s Prima Pizza before you board the J Train. Prima Pizza, a family-owned restaurant, has been serving up fresh goodness since 2015.
For a diverse American menu with an ethnic kick, visit Pop’s Restaurant. The local favorite welcomes customers to a bar-like aesthetic scene that is still family friendly.
Online fashion retailers may be convenient, but Baby Blue packs a double punch for customers with a location close to Woodhaven homes and prices that are ridiculously low.
Park Place Florist is the perfect place to find beautiful flowers for any occasion.
