50 Cent gives $30K to fast food workers in surprise Springfield Gardens visit

Jamaica native 50 Cent visited his old stomping grounds Tuesday with a special surprise for employees at a Rockaway Boulevard Burger King: $30,000 in cash.

The rapper and actor, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, pulled up to the drive-through window in Springfield Gardens with Instagram influencer Jay Mazini. He hid as Mazini approached the window, told the workers to gather together and began distributing Whopper-sized stacks of cash.

“I want to show love to you guys. You guys work hard,” Mazini said. “I want to come show love to Queens.”

The ten restaurant workers’ disbelief and excitement only intensified when Power star 50 Cent strolled over and handed out even more cash. The donation was particularly special for one employee who said it was her birthday.

Mazini posted a video of the Springfield Gardens visit to his Instagram page

“To these hard workers during this pandemic,” he wrote. “I told [50] it’s good karma at the end of the day. Change lives and connect with real ones.”

“Southside Queens stand up!! Ya deserve it.”

Mazini, who often performs impromptu cash drops in New York City, reached out to the rapper to see how they could work together, 50 wrote on his own Instagram.

Even some lucky pedestrians got a cut of their good will after spotting the commotion.

“This is the man right here,” 50 said while hugging Mazini.
