Both Governor Kathy Hochul and her Republican challenger, Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman, made their final pitches to Queens voters over the weekend.

Ahead of Tuesday’s election, both gubernatorial candidates rallied and campaigned in the World’s Borough.

Hochul, who is leading in recent polling, barnstormed the city over the weekend but spent both Saturday night and Sunday afternoon in Queens. She campaigned alongside Mayor Zohran Mamdani at both events.

On Saturday, Hochul and Mamdani attended a Halloween-themed Queens Night Market, where they spoke to voters.

“I had a fantastic time trying delicious food, meeting local vendors and seeing everyone’s costumes,” Hochul said on social media.

The following morning, Hochul, Mamdani and Congressmember Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez watched the Buffalo Bills game at an Astoria bar.

Blakeman was also in Queens, headlining a rally at Juniper Valley Park alongside Republican candidate for State Assembly Brandon Castro and Democratic Councilmember Phil Wong.

“Call people who will vote the right way,” he told voters at the event. “Make a list and call them and call them and call them.”

Blakeman also went to a Queens Chinese restaurant, where he decried Local Law 97, which is meant to slash emissions.

“We gotta make sure we protect all these gas stoves,” Blakeman said in an Instagram video, picking up a wok.

Polls open at 6 a.m. on Tuesday.
