Leadership from across the city’s bar associations gathered Monday to celebrate the incoming leadership for the Network of Bar Leaders.
Sunnyside resident and New York City Bar Association Senior Manager Eve Guillergan was installed as president during a ceremony in the Museum of Korean American Heritage celebrating the diversity represented in the participating bars, including the Queens County Bar Association.
Guillergan, a first generation lawyer, immigrated to Missouri from Korea with her family as a child and said that seeing the specialized bars flourish over the years “has been an incredible journey.”
“It has been wonderful to see an exchange of ideas and information and collaboration among different bar associations,” she said. “Our officers and executive council and past presidents and officers are a great team, they work hard, and I believe that we will continue to do good work for the legal community.”
“I am very much looking forward to the year and working towards the wonderful mission of the network,” Guillergan added.
