The New York Hall of Science’s annual gala is sticking to the public health guidance issued by its keynote speaker, Dr. Anthony Fauci.

The gala will take place virtually Oct. 29, with attendees, including Fauci, patching into the event from the safety of their own homes.

Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases at the National Institutes of Health, will help the Corona science center raise money amid a COVID-fueled revenue shortfall.

The family-friendly fundraiser will give participants the opportunity to perform a science experiment they can do with common household materials.

Honorees include Hall of Science Explainer Jessica Garcia, a recent graduate of Hunter College. Garcia will receive the Seidenberg Family Top of the Ladder Award for her dedication to encouraging and educating the young minds around her in the museum.
