Starting April 11, the Godwin-Ternbach Museum at Queens College will host a new exhibit that explores environmental issues through art.

“Hope is the Thing with Feathers: Art of the Natural World” features more than 130 works from various cultures and eras to examine the relationship between nature and art.

The exhibit includes Egyptian antiquities, pre-Columbian feathered textiles, late medieval prints with mythological and allegorical themes and surrealist works from the 20th Century. The Godwin-Ternbach Museum is the borough’s only museum with a collection that spans antiquity to the present, Queens College said in a statement.

The exhibition is free and open to the public through July 11.
