A Sunnyside man was left bruised and beaten after cops say a trio of robbers punched and kicked him for hundreds of dollars in cash and Apple products.

The 34-year-old victim was walking near the intersection of Greenpoint Avenue and 48th Avenue at around 11:30 p.m. on March 11 when three unidentified men began yelling at him, according to police from the 108th Precinct. The men caught up to the victim and proceeded to punch and kick him, knocking him to the ground.

The trio took the victim’s wallet, which contained $600 in cash, as well as an iPhone X and Apple AirPods.

Police and EMS responded, taking the victim to Elmhurst Hospital, where he was treated for bruises to his head and body.

All three of the suspects were captured on surveillance video and are described by cops as three black men in their twenties. One of the men had long braids and was wearing a white jacket and blue jeans.
