A man was shot on the platform of the 75th Avenue E/F Train subway station shortly before 11:50 a.m. Friday morning, the NYPD confirmed.

An NYPD official said that officers went into the station along Queens Boulevard, where they encountered the victim, after receiving a report of shots fired.

The victim, 21, got into an argument with two men on the northbound F train and one of the suspects shot the victim in the left thigh, police said.

The shooting either occurred on the train or on the platform, but the NYPD could not confirm by 2:45 p.m. Friday.

The victim was shot in the left thigh and taken to Elmhurst Hospital. He was expected to survive, police said.

The suspects ran away on 75th Road. No arrests had been made as of 2:45 p.m. Friday.
