In a scene ripped from the “Final Destination” film franchise, a wooden spike plunged from the no. 7 train tracks in Woodside and punctured the windshield of a car below on Thursday afternoon.

The incident occurred along Roosevelt Avenue near 65th Street.

“This is horrifying,” said Councilmember Jimmy Van Bramer in a statement. “‪Thankfully the driver was not injured, but someone could have been killed! There must be an immediate investigation into how something this dangerous could happen. MTA must answer for our crumbling subway infrastructure before a tragedy occurs.”

Photos show the wooden piece of track protruding from the passenger side front seat through the windshield of a Chevy Tahoe parked under the elevated tracks.
