The Ultimate Champions Taekwondo team took their martial arts skills to the streets of Flushing Saturday for the annual Lunar New Year Parade.

More than 100 students and family members attended the parade to share their pride in Taekwondo and demonstrate their board-breaking and nunchakus techniques.

After the parade, Ultimate Champions Taekwondo members performed a special Taekwondo demonstration at Kumgangsan restaurant before several local leaders, including State Sen. John Liu, City Councilmember Peter Koo, Assemblymember Ron Kim, and President of the Korean American Association of Queens Thomas Kim.

Ultimate Champions Taekwondo Master Michael Ro said he was “proud of [his] students for coming out on this freezing cold day to show the community their Taekwondo spirit.”
