Thousands of Queens residents lined the streets of Downtown Flushing Saturday for the annual Lunar New Year parade.

Asian communities in Queens and around the world celebrated Lunar New Year on Feb. 5, but the parade marks one of the biggest celebrations in the United States.

This year, residents welcomed the Year of the Pig with live music, elaborate costumes, vibrant dragons and appearances from several logo leaders.
