Flushing Fire Kills Woman

A Flushing resident died in a house fire inside her home Thursday night, police said.
Firefighters found Maria Medina, 47, unconscious and unresponsive inside her home at 148-40 60th Ave. at 7:10 p.m. Thursday night. EMS pronounced Medina dead on the scene.
As of press time Friday, no arrests had been made in connection with the fire and the FDNY Fire Marshal was investigating the cause of the blaze.
