A Richmond Hill man accused of chasing a teen girl into oncoming traffic, causing her to be seriously injured, was arrested and arraigned in Queens Criminal Court Wednesday.

NYPD officers said that Kevin Ramtahal, 23, approached a 14-year-old girl at around 7:40 a.m. on Dec. 6 before yelling "I'm coming for you!" and chasing her.

While trying to escape Ramtahal, the girl ran into traffic at the corner of Jamaica Avenue and 110th Street, where she was struck by a car, police say. The girl sustained serious leg injuries and was rushed by EMS to Cohen Children's Medical Center in stable condition.

Ramtahal was caught on surveillance video and fled the scene on foot, cops say. The driver of the vehicle that struck the girl was not charged with a crime. Ramtahal, of Lefferts Boulevard, was charged on Tuesday with reckless endangerment and endangering the welfare of a child.
