/By Jonathan Sperling
Small business owners and individuals interested in starting a business are invited to attend Queens Small Business Resource Fair and Community Talk in Corona this week.
The event, hosted by the Department of Small Business Services in collaboration with Assemblymember Catalina Cruz and Councilmember Francisco Moya, will provide information about SBS’ free resources and information on how to launch, grow, or expand a small business. Representatives from several city agencies will also be on hand to answer questions.
The event will be held at the Corona branch of the Queens Public Library, located at 38-23 104th St., from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Following the resource fair, there will be a "Community Talk" event where attendees will be able to speak about issues that their small businesses have been facing. City agency representatives will answer questions and provide information on commonly-issued business violations.
Participating agencies may include the Department of Small Business Services, the Department of Sanitation, the Department of Consumer and Worker Protection, the Department of Buildings, the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, and the Office of Administrative Trials and Hearings.
