More than 5,400 people have voted early in Queens

More than 5,440 Queens residents cast ballots in the first four days of the state’s early voting period, which began Oct. 26. Citywide, 24,445 people cast their ballots at early voting sites, according to the city’s Board of Elections website, which publishes daily voting totals.

An average of 1,360 Queens residents voted each day, for a total of 5,440, but the actual number varied by the day. 

A total of 1,846 people cast their ballots on Oct. 26, the first day, and 811 people voted on Oct. 27. Another 1,293 people voted Monday and 1,490 voted on Tuesday. 

Manhattan, with 8,377 early voters, and Brooklyn, with 6,707, outpaced the other boroughs.

Early voting continues until Sunday and the general election takes place Nov. 5. 

There are 14 early voting sites in Queens, located at York College, the Rockaway YMCA, the Cross Island YMCA, Al Oerter Recreation Center, First Baptist Church of Corona, Korean Community Services, Museum of the Moving Image, Rochdale Village Community Center, Queens Voting Machine Annex, Resorts World Casino NYC, Holy Trinity Parish Church LaGuardia Community College and Queens Borough Hall.
