An alleged drunk driver was arrested on Saturday for a single car crash on the Bronx River Parkway that killed a backseat passenger, police said.

Mahendraneuth Seepersaud was driving a 2019 white Range Rover on the Bronx River Parkway near 233rd Street with Anand Parasram in the backseat, police said.

As Seepersaud drove along the ramp to Exit 10, he allegedly failed to maintain control of the luxury SUV and struck a side wall, police said.

When help arrived, Parasram, 24, was taken to Jacobi Hospital for severe head trauma. Parasram was pronounced dead.

Seepersaud, 32, was charged with vehicular manslaughter, aggravated unlicensed operator, criminal impersonation and DWI.

A Bronx Criminal Court judge set bail at $350,000 and ordered Seepersaud back to court on Jan. 24. If convicted, he faces up to 15 years in prison.
