The Queens County Democratic Party will meet tonight for a judicial convention to nominate candidates for the Queens County Supreme Court, Civil Term. The Democratic candidates will appear on the Nov. 6 general election ballot.

The Queens Daily Eagle first reported on the likely candidates Tuesday after receiving information from three independent sources familiar with the nominating process.

The likely candidates include Judge Ushir Pandit-Durant, Judge Maureen Healy, Judge Robert Caloras and Judge Larry Love.

The judicial convention took place after press time Thursday.

U.S. Rep. Joe Crowley was re-elected party chair during a voice vote at the Georgia Diner in Elmhurst Monday morning. Crowley has served as party chair since 2006.

Crowley, a ten-term congressman, lost the Democratic primary to represent New York’s 14th Congressional District to challenger Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in June.
