Whitestone Bank Robber Makes Off With $1700 In Cash

Police are looking for a man who robbed a Whitestone bank on Nov. 30 and made off with $1771 in cash.

At around 6 p.m. a man walked into a TD Bank located at 148-08 Cross Island Parkway, approached the teller and demanded cash. Police said the teller handed the suspect the money inside an envelope without any incident.

The man fled the scene.

The suspect is described as an African-American male, approximately 35 years old and 6-foot-1, 250 pounds. He was last seen wearing an Army fatigue-patterned baseball hat and a black hooded sweater.
