A Glendale resident who was found dead under the L train trestle near the border of East New York and Brownsville may have fallen off the tracks, police say.
Jared Adams, 32, was found dead on the street near the intersection of Blake and Van Sinderen Avenues at around 5:30 a.m. Monday, police said. The site is located between the Sutter Avenue and Livonia Avenue L Train stations.
Police said Adams was unconscious and unresponsive when they arrived. He was pronounced dead at Brookdale Medical Center.
Police initially said Adams had suffered a gunshot wound to the head, but on Wednesday, The Daily News — citing “police sources” — reported that he may have fallen off the tracks.
When contacted by the Eagle, an NYPD spokeswoman deferred to the police sources cited by the News.
The 75th Precinct in East New York did not respond to request for comment.
