As a 20-year-old woman was exiting the A train at Beach 67th Street on Nov. 11, a man approached and followed her down the staircase, police said. As they reached the mezzanine level of the station, the man allegedly punched her in the back of the head and walked away.

Surveillance video from the train station shows the man walking through the turnstile and into the night around 10 p.m.

The random puncher is described as an African-American man with a beard. He was last seen wearing gray pants, a dark colored zip-up jacket and a gray hooded sweatshirt.
