Queens Judge Honored by Tribune Society

The Tribune Society of the Courts in the state of New York held its 50th anniversary awards dinner on Thursday, Nov. 1 at Marina Del Rey in the Bronx, where they honored Queens Civil Supreme Court Judge Major Ernest L. Owens.

In addition to Judge Hudson and Small, the society also honored Hon. Kathie E. Davidson, administrative judge for the 9th Judicial District, Brooklyn judge Hon. Sharen D. Hudson and Chief Clerk Charles Small, of the Supreme Court, Civil Term.

The Tribune Society is a fraternal organization of African Americans and other minority personnel within the court system. It often speaks out against injustice and advocates for progressive issues concerning the courts and legal community.
