New biometric technology at Kennedy Airport’s Terminal 4 will enable millions of travelers to verify their identity with the blink of an eye or the touch of a finger.

On Monday, Kennedy Airport introduced new machines developed by the tech company CLEAR. The technology already exists at Kennedy’s Terminal 2 and LaGuardia Airport’s Terminals C and D as well as Citi Field and Yankee Stadium.

“We want to help our members get where they are going with greater confidence and predictability, whether they are catching a flight or going to the big game,” said Caryn Seidman-Becker, chairman and CEO, CLEAR. “Time is precious and CLEAR members enjoy more time doing what they love, and less time waiting in line.”

Terminal 4 accounts of a third of all Kennedy Airport passengers, said Roel Huinink, the president and CEO of JFKIAT, which operates Terminal 4.

“In addition, with its biometric capabilities, CLEAR will also add a heightened layer of safety and security to our terminal,” Huinink said.
