The Flushing Greenmarket is back for its third year, offering the community access to farm-fresh produce and food.

The market, which will run every Wednesday at Maple Playground until Nov. 27, will provide family-friendly games, healthy recipes and fresh food to the community at large. Organized by advocacy group GrowNYC and the Greater Flushing Chamber of Commerce, the market is designed to improve the lives of residents in its surrounding neighborhood.

Everything sold at the market is entirely famer-grown, caught, produced or foraged, according to a statement from the Greater Flushing Chamber of Commerce.

"Not only are greenmarkets an excellent way for communities to support locally grown, fresh and healthy food, but they are also a telling sign of the economic vitality of neighborhoods,”  Councilmember Peter Koo said in a statement. “Thank you to the Greater Flushing Chamber of Commerce for supporting healthy choices for shoppers here in Flushing."

The market will run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on days it is open, and is located at Kissena Boulevard and Maple Avenue in Downtown Flushing.
