A Queens judge let an off-duty traffic agent go home on Thursday after he was accused of injuring his husband during a heated argument, prosecutors said.
Renato Gonsales-Conegundes faces up to a year on Rikers Island for third-degree assault charges for swinging a door into his husband’s face during an argument on Wednesday evening, according to the criminal complaint.
Gonsales-Conegundes, 30, was arrested inside a home on 44th Street in Maspeth.
The man suffered a cut on the right side of his face as well as pain, according to the criminal complaint.
Queens Criminal Court Judge Scott Dunn released Gonsales-Conegundes on his own recognizance and ordered him back to court in February, a spokeswoman said.
